FM Global Kick-Off 2023
Event
Celebrating another successful year, FM Global invited employees from around Europe to their Kick-Off event. It was a rare chance for workers to meet face-to-face, celebrate last year’s successes, and give updates on the year ahead.
This year over 300 delegates came together at the prestigious Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5. We were tasked with providing the complete audio visual support for their one and a half day event.
Pre-Event
Three months before the event we visited the venue to assess the event spaces, loading area, and most importantly, measure up the main conference room. This is always a great time to thrash out ideas with the client, face-to-face in the room, to see what they need.
Back at Istead HQ we produced an event proposal including all technical aspects and a 3D set design illustration showing the proposed backdrop. Created by our design team, the 3D set design was fully bespoke, branded, to-scale, and showed the backdrop fitting perfectly in the room.
Following the client’s confirmation, our set build team then got to work turning our ideas into reality, our logistics team arranged our trucks and crew, and our technicians prepped all the required AV kit.
Delivery
Arriving on site our team got to work setting up all our sound, lighting and projection equipment, as well as the 15m wide branded backdrop. Projection screens fully incorporated into the backdrop seamlessly displayed presentation slides, pre-recorded videos, interactive voting and a quiz.
Our technical team then operated our AV equipment throughout the event, assisting the presenters wherever possible. We are basically behind the scenes ensuring everyone can clearly hear proceedings.
