Who are we?

Istead AV is an audio visual and technical production company based in the Midlands. If you need technical support at your next conference, seminar, AGM or Awards Dinner then you’re in the right place. We love what we do, it’s who we are, which is why we are so passionate about the services we provide.

History

Originally starting out as a family-run business over 60 years ago (yes, 60 years!), Istead were one of only a few companies in the UK hiring out cine film projectors. This soon evolved into full audio visual hire offerings from broadcast video players, 35mm projectors, and the trusty OHPs in the 1980’s.

As audio visual equipment has evolved, so have we. With our history and decades of experience, Istead AV is continuing to evolve with technical industry developments to ensure you’ll always have the latest state of the art equipment at your event.

The skills behind the reputation

Our Directors Neil and Stuart have been in the business collectively for over 60 years, so what they don’t know about running a seamless event isn’t worth knowing. They’ve been there, seen it, and done it!

Relationships and teamwork has always been at the core of our business. This means you will always have direct contact with a project manager throughout your entire event planning process. We won’t just be your AV crew on the day of your event, we will become an extension of your team. Any questions, we’re only a phone-call away.
