What Date Is Your Event In 2026?

You might just want to check if your event clashes with some of this year’s major sporting events (it’s World Cup year if you didn’t already know! ⚽)

With so many things to consider when organising an event, getting the date right is crucial. So it’s important you plan your event for the right date as there are days that you simply shouldn’t run events on. OK granted, holding an event on one of these dates wouldn’t be a complete disaster, but it could certainly affect its overall success.

In short, here are some key dates in 2026 that we think you should be aware of.

• Wednesday 17^th June 9pm Kick Off – England v Croatia

• Wednesday 1^st July – Last 32 if England win group
• Thursday July 2^nd July – Last 32 if England 2^nd in group

• Friday 10^th July – Quarter Final if England 2^nd in group
• Saturday 11^th July – Quarter Final if England win group

Previous experience tells us that no matter what you put in place during an event to ensure your guests can watch a football match for example, they will inevitably find their way to the bar. Imagine if you planned your awards evening on the same day that England are playing/winning the World Cup Final! (we can but dream).
