You should never underestimate the power of music at your event. Choosing the right songs will create energy at your event and memories that your audience will have forever. Here are some of our favourite tunes we’ve played at our events over the years.

Back in 2001 HSBC chose ‘Basement Jaxx ‘Bingo Bango’ as the theme tune for their conference. 15 years later, when we hear that song we still think back to that event. Music can really help make your event memorable by getting into your delegates’ minds and staying there as an unforgettable experience.

We will always arrive onsite to any event with a catalogue of popular tunes as well as background music to break the silence before your event starts and for when you delegates exit the room. However, most of the time your Keynote and guest speakers will have already chosen their song for their walk-ups onto the stage.

The Business Networking Show is a perfect example of this. TBNS is the UK’s largest networking event and is now in its 3rd year. We’ve had the pleasure of being involved in this event from the start and have seen it come back each year bigger and better. When it comes to walk-up songs, these speakers nail it every time and their music selections have become a part of their character as well as becoming a talking point across social media.

Brad Burton:

Public Enemy- Harder Than You Think

Brad is the ‘4Networking’ founder and the UK’s #1 motivational speaker. He has always chosen a bold song to walk up to and for exiting the stage. (That is providing he gives us a proper cue of course ;)… private joke there!)

Stefan Thomas:

Motorhead- Ace of Spades

The ‘Business Networking for Dummies’ author really created an iconic moment for the delegates last year when he walked on stage with dry ice to the ‘Ace of Spades’. You can see this moment below and how much the audience loved it, not to mention Stef having the time of his life!

Gary Turner:

Beastie Boys- Intergalactic

Gary is the co-founder and managing director of online accounting software ‘Xero’ in the UK. We thought his song choice was absolutely brilliant and is definitely up there with one of the most memorable songs we’ve played at an event.

In July we posted our ‘Top 20 Songs Used at Awards Ceremonies’ on our blog. If you missed it, this post is definitely worth a read. We’d also advise you to check the lyrics of your song choices before you play them at your conference, they may contradict your company ethos or actually cause embarrassment to yourself.

If you are attending The Business Networking Show 2016 on Friday 16th September, make sure you come and say hello to us. We’ll be making all speakers look and sound amazing!

Choosing the right music definitely impacts how memorable your event is. You want to create an enjoyable and notable experience for your delegates and selecting the right songs can aid to enhance the success of your event.
