Manchester Conference Venue Fit for Royalty
We’ve recently visited The Palace Hotel in Manchester with a long standing client of ours to view the venue’s new improved facilities. The landmark building has just reopened after undergoing a £25m revamp and has relaunched its conference, meeting and event spaces.
The event we are delivering is being held in the Ballroom which has been fully restored and upgraded to combine modern technology with contemporary decor. It boasts high ceilings and still features its classic Edwardian characteristics which has evidently been protected throughout the upgrade. The art-deco styled room can now accommodate up to 1,000 seated guests but the number of delegates can be maximised to 1,500 when used in conjunction with the new Whitworth Rooms. This makes it the largest single event space at a hotel in the north of England.
The Palace Hotel is a stunning venue for those attending an event but for us behind the scenes, it does put up some little challenges for our team! The access into the Ballroom is via a back road, a bridge over a canal and then along a canal path into the venue. However pushing our flight cases over a canal bridge is all part of the fun and is all in a day’s work! Overall, we were really impressed with The Palace Hotel’s new look and are looking forward to filling this impressive Ballroom with our AV equipment.
