7 Best Event Venues in the West Midlands

Posted by on Jun 3, 2016 in Blog

Providing audio visual equipment at conferences and events in the UK and Europe, we visit a number of different venues. We see the good, the bad and the damn right ugly! We could tell you a few stories but we’ll save that for another post! In the meantime, here are some of our favourites:

Chesford Grange

On the outskirts of Kenilworth, Chesford Grange is set in 17 acres of scenic grounds with landscaped gardens on the edge of the River Avon. This Q Hotel Group venue boasts 13 conference and meeting rooms for up to 700 delegates. Chesford Grange is close to many major road networks and also provides extensive parking facilities making this an easily accessible location to hold your event. We’ve delivered many events here over the years and our clients are always impressed by the level of service provided at this venue.

Hilton Birmingham Metropole

Birmingham Met is ‘The Daddy’ of them all! You may lose the personal touch with this venue but with 33 banquet and meeting rooms that hold up to 2000 guests, this is an ideal place to host your event. If you are looking for a modern and impressive venue in a prime location for your corporate event, the Birmingham Metropole is for you. The large purpose built conference rooms create a great blank canvas for our creative designers when designing stage sets. You can see more of our set designs here.

Hilton Coventry Hotel

This venue has excellent links to major motorways. The Hilton Coventry has a number of modern event spaces for anything from a board meeting to a large conference for up to 600 delegates. The Minster Suite is the largest of rooms on offer and features natural daylight, full air-conditioning and access to direct unloading into the room from outside the suite, definitely a venue that is helpful for your AV crew!

Coombe Abbey

If you really want to make your event special then Coombe Abbey is definitely a contender that could make this happen. This classic country venue boasts 11 rooms, which are ideal for conferences, meetings and corporate entertainment. There is also a new marquee event space outside, perfect for a summer event! Each room is rich with history but also provides modern conference facilities making Coombe Abbey perfect for any event manager wanting to wow their guests.

National Conference Centre

The NCC was previously an extension of the National Motorcycle Museum, but in our industry this venue is notably known as ‘The Bike Shed’. It offers unique and flexible event space with 13 suites to choose from facilitating events for all types of business areas. Something to consider when booking the NCC as your venue would be that there is no accommodation onsite for your delegates. However there are a couple of local hotels just a short car journey away. A great event space at an award winning venue.

Ricoh Arena

The Ricoh offers you vast variety to host a number of small or large meetings, exhibitions and conferences from anything between 7 to 7,000 delegates. There’s a brand new DoubleTree Hilton Hotel at the arena for your attendees to stay in with some of the guestrooms having impressive pitch views! Located just 800 yards from the largest motorway network in the UK and boasting 20,000 square metres of flexible event space across 80 rooms, you’ll be spoilt for choice at Coventry’s largest event venue!

Jury’s Inn Hinckley Island Hotel

After a recent refurb, the newly modernised Hinckley Island Hotel is a stylish venue surrounded by beautiful Leicestershire countryside. It has 25 meeting and event rooms that can accommodate between 8 to 650 delegates with an extensive range of facilities ideally suited for business conferences and meetings. The ‘Paris Suite’ is great from a technical perspective due to its inbuilt raised area and ceiling hanging points. From an AV point of view this is perfect as you’ll see from a recent event we delivered in the picture below.

Conference Production Company

We are an audio visual company providing full AV support and conference production across the UK and Europe.
